Logo animation

I’ve just finished a logo animation , i did this for friends who run a local (pub , music , art exibitions)  called “artintown” , here in Torino.

I didn’t design the logo ,  but it was just perfect to experiment with animation and some new blender 2.5 features ..

MODELLING :

i started with a simple poligon model (with subD) .

The animation is based on  texture nodes ,  gradients and noises , plugged into material alpha  make the logo appear over time.

SMOKE SIM :

The 2nd base clips are simple smoke puffs , done with the new smoke system … What can i say ? it’s just wonderful (and fast!) ..Thanks Farsthary!

VIDEO EDITOR :

Video sequence editor in blender 2.5 .Simple  but working great ..  i did there  clips montage , with transition blends .

NODE EDITOR :

A pass of slightly  more complex effects  :  bloom , unsharp and color correction.

…And that’s it. Animation isn’t my main focus but i really enjoyed doing this.
